Educational Talk: Breathe...

On the 26th of April, MNDaSG had our first Educational Talk for 2025 titled 'Breathe...'! It was an online talk about Mechanical Ventilation and Secretion Management with Dr. Chan Yeow (Senior Consultant) and Ms. Lydia Soon (Nurse Clinician) from the Home Ventilation and Respiratory Support Service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. They shared the intricate details of breathing and the secretion of saliva and mucus in our respiratory system, and how this has informed the different methods of helping Motor Neurone Disease patients breathe better. Participants thus left with a better understanding of how our breathing works and how we can help our warriors be more comfortable.
